We would rather you knew before you ordered than found out on the doorstep. Here is the honest split.

The head count is the first decision, and it sets how wide the fixture is above your mirror. The two-light is 18 in across; the three-light is 24 in, half a foot wider. Over a narrower mirror or on either side, the two-light suits; over a wide vanity, the three-light fills the space.
