The Gold Foil is a gold-leaf finish, not solid gold, so dust it with a soft dry brush and avoid liquid cleaners, which can dull the foil; the Bronze takes a slightly damp cloth. Over a dining table, aim for 30 to 36 in between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture.

- A ceiling outlet boxThis is a hardwired pendant that mounts to a standard round ceiling box, so it replaces a ceiling light rather than plugging in.
The chain is adjustable by removing links to set the drop, and because it hangs from a chain it self-levels on a sloped ceiling. It dims with dimmable LED bulbs and a compatible TRIAC dimmer. A licensed electrician is recommended; turn the power off at the breaker before starting.
